WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - This week, the South Florida PGA Junior Championship Tour presented by The Honda Classic held the Natalie's Juice Company Junior Championship at The Breakers Rees Jones Course. The field featured many of South Florida's top junior golfers.
North Palm Beach Native Billy Civitella and Cameron Starr from Palm Beach Gardens each opened up round one with a three under par 69 to take the round one lead in the boys division. Vero Beach native Carter Dalili fired an open round even par 72 to put himself within striking distance of the lead. Civitella and Starr battled it out in the final round. Starr ended up victorious shooting a tournament total of 145.
Vero Beach native Carter Dalil captured the boys 13-15 age division with a tournament total of 148, and Ryan Adams captured the boys 16-18 age division with a tournament total of 148.
Skylee Shin from Doral and Jenna Fonda from Wellington both finished round one with a three over par, 75's. Port St. Lucie native Nicole Cee finished round one with a six over par, 78. These three battled it out in the final round of the tournament, and Skylee Shin came out victorious with a tournament total of 150. Nicole Cee will capture the girls 13-15 age division with a tournament total of 159, and Miami native, Cassandra Chen will take home the gold for the 16-18 age division with a tournament total of 158.
The SFPGA Junior Tour presented by The Honda Classic is a membership-based tour open to boys and girls ages 11-18 in South Florida with the aspirations and skill levels to compete at the High School and Collegiate level and features some of South Florida's most talented junior golfers. The Junior Tour offers twenty-five two day championship events for junior golfers in South Florida. The 28 events are divided between the Championship Tour, an invitational tour featuring extended yardages, and the Challenge Tour.
