Boynton Beach, FL - Reed Abdelnour, Gaitlin Albright and Maddie Roach won the Srixon South Florida PGA Medalist Tour event, played February 15-16 at The Links at Boynton Beach.
Albright, a 2028 graduate and Stuart native, won the boys 13-18 division by one shot as the only player in the 80-person field to finish the event under par. After an opening round of 1-under 70, Albright was tied with Adin McMaster of Estero and had six other players within three shots of the lead.
In round two, Albright managed to post an even-par 70, claiming first-place honors while narrowly holding off a charging Sebastian Eterovic of Coral Cables, who matched the tournament low of 2-under 69 to finish runner-up.
Kaden Latrelle of Naples came in third at 2-over while Tucker Cullinan of Boynton Beach and Clint Lewis of Jupiter tied for fourth at 3-over.
After an opening round of 4-over 75 by Roach, a 2025 graduate and Naples resident, was tied with Kaitlyn Hummers of West Palm Beach and only one shot ahead of Reese McMillan of Jupiter. Roach delivered in the final round with a 2-over 73 to claim the girls 13-18 division by four shots over McMillan. Hummers finished in third at 12-over total while Polina Anisimova of Port St. Lucie finished in fourth.
In the boy's 11-12 division, Abdelnour, a West Palm Beach resident, claimed his second straight Medalist Tour title by five shots over Flynn Lewis of Jupiter. Abdelnour opened the event with a 78, putting him in a tie with Lewis and one shot back of J. Holden Rice of Jupiter. The 2031 graduate, Abdelnour, came back with a 2-under 69, matching the tournament low-round and nine shots better than his previous round. Lewis came in second at 10-over total, while Rice finished in third at 16-over.
The season's third Srixon South Florida PGA Medalist Tour event welcomed a full field of 80 Juniors playing across three age divisions. The Medalist Tour season will continue, March 8-9 at Osprey Point Golf Course.
