Emile Lebrun, closed the 2023 season exactly how he started it: Winning. The Winter Kick-Off Champion carded a five-under total, including a two-under 69 today, to come from eight strokes behind to top Cameron Kuchar and Oscar Crowe in the Boy’s 13-18 Division. Over 36 holes, Lebrun carded five birdies and one eagle for a two-day total, 68-69–137.
Oscar Crowe of Boca Raton chipped in for eagle on the par-4, 16th hole during the second round to back up his first round 66 with a 73 to finish in second place.
In the Girl’s 13-18 division, Aliya Liberatore entered the final round one shot behind Leah Gram. Liberatore carded four birdies in round two to help her to a two-under 69 today and a three-under total finish.
“I feel like I played really well, I hit the ball solid and stayed calm.” Liberatore stated. “I am super excited to carry on this win and have a great 2024 season.”
In the Boy’s 11-12 division, Zacahry Felton of Estero finished four strokes ahead of Girardo Zepeda (158), shooting 78-76-154 to win.
With the win, Felton was named the 2023 Player of the Year in the Boy’s 11-12 division. Felton finished the season with 1,830 points and eight top-five finishes.
“I am excited for next year because I will be moving up to the 13-18 division” Felton exclaimed.
“I also want to thank my parents for supporting me and taking me to all of these events.”
In addition to Felton, the Player of the Year was determined for the Girl’s and Boy’s 13-18 Division. For the Boys, Brooks Colton of Riviera Beach received this honor after a remarkable 2023 season, including 12 top-10 finishes and a total of 2,202 points.
Valentina Marie Guertin of Boynton Beach finished the season with 1,621 points to claim the Girl’s title. Guertin had 10 top-10 finishes and two first place finishes.
