On Saturday, Jake Preville of Wellington came out of the gate strong, going one-under in his first nine holes. Preville finished at even par, a tournament-low at Sandridge, to win Boy’s 13-18 division.
To round out the other boy’s divisions, Jason Andree of Parkland finished at seven-over in the 11-12 division while Carl Hitchner of Winter Park finished six-over for the 9-10 division.
Larissa Wheelless of Miami shot SCORE to claim the Girl’s 9-10 Division on Saturday. Wheelless followed up her good play on Sunday, winning the pink jacket Girls Golf Miami Masters Tournament at Coasta Del Sol Golf Club.
Carding a tournament-low in the Girl’s 13-18 division, Reese McMillan of Jupiter finished at 2-over 73. Close behind McMillan, Petra Compton of Palmetto Bay and Bella Simoes of Lake Worth finished at 3-over.
Compton, Simoes and McMillan all returned on Sunday to Sandridge Golf Club to go head-to-head for the division title.
After going bogey-free in her first three holes, Compton maintained a one stroke lead over Bella Simoes. Not far behind, McMillan finished just two strokes back.
The three girls capped their round at:
Petra Compton: +5
Bella Simoes: +6
Reese McMillan: +7
After finishing in first on Saturday’s round, Harper Kiss of Lighthouse Point came back on Sunday to compete against Gemma Hughes in the Girl’s 11-12 division. Hughes finished three better than Kiss and won her first-ever Prep Tour event.
Charles Sundermeier (11-12 division) of Lake Worth and Jaxson Weese (13-18 division) of Sebastian both carded four-over 76s to win their respective divisions.
Alden Dixon of Sebastian claimed the gold in the 9-10 division, with a five-stroke win over Hudson Kohout of Johns Creek, Georgia.
