The South Florida PGA Junior Tour recently hosted a series of exciting events, featuring back-to-back Toptracer Prep Tour tournaments presented by Callaway, along with a Links Tour event. Young golfers from across the Section showcased their skills, delivering impressive performances and thrilling finishes.
Links Tour at St. Andrews Club
On Sunday, August 18, the picturesque St. Andrews Club in Delray Beach welcomed 50 Links Tour players for a one-day, 9-hole event.
William Lazarchick of Tequesta led the Boys 12-14 Division, finishing 4-over par with a two-stroke victory.
In the Boys 9-11 Division, Pedro Restrepo of Key Biscayne, Julian Brandman of Delray Beach, and Luca Terminesi of Jupiter all tied for first, shooting 3-over 30 to share the top spot.
Meanwhile, Eva Cortes of Dorado, Puerto Rico, dominated the Girls 9-11 Division, carding two birdies and finishing with a four-stroke lead at 5-over 32.
In the Girls 6-8 Division, Morgan Miller of Jupiter continued her winning streak by shooting 8-over 35.
Toptracer Prep Tour, Presented by Callaway at PGA National - Estates Course
The action continued on Sunday, August 18, with the Toptracer Prep Tour event at PGA National's Estates Course, where 78 players competed in a one-day, 18-hole tournament.
Carson Lowe of West Palm Beach impressed in the Boys 13-18 Division, shooting a stellar 1-under 71, highlighted by three birdies, to claim first place.
The Boys 11-12 Division saw a dramatic finish, as William Lorberbaum of Delray Beach and Mateo Muniz of Wellington both shot 1-under 71. Ultimately, Lorberbaum took the title after a scorecard playoff, thanks to a drained birdie putt on the 17th hole.
Brian Kelley of Port Saint Lucie dominated the Boys 9-10 Division, shooting a remarkable 2-under 70 for a five-stroke victory.
In the Girls 11-12 Division, Lucia Romero of Doral and Alyna Yensabai of Lake Worth both finished at even par. Romero clinched the win in a scorecard playoff with a bogey-free back nine.
Victoria Frias of Parkland closed her round with three consecutive birdies, finishing with five birdies overall, and secured the top spot in the Girls 9-10 Division at 5-over 77.
Toptracer Prep Tour at Fairwinds Golf Course
The Toptracer Prep Tour continued on Sunday, August 25, with an event at Fairwinds Golf Course where 78 juniors took to the course for this one-day, 18-hole event.
In the Boys 13-18 Division, Julian Koehler of Palm Beach Gardens emerged victorious, making two birdies and shooting 1-over 73.
The Boys 11-12 Division was dominated by Nathan Wallen of Jupiter, who shot an impressive 2-under 70 to take first place in just his second Prep Tour event of the season.
Brian Kelley continued his dominance in the Boys 9-10 Division, shooting 1-under 71 to win by two strokes, backed by three birdies.
The Girls 11-12 Division saw a comeback from Alyna Yensabai of Lake Worth, who bounced back from a double bogey on her opening hole to card a bogey-free round and finish with four birdies for a 2-under 70 victory.
