PALM CITY, Fla. – Last week, the South Florida PGA Toptracer Prep Tour held an event at Hammock Creek Golf Club, featuring 78 players, including 11 from the Hong Kong PGA Learning & Performance Center. These young golfers traveled to PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie for an international golf camp and experience.
Todd Howard, PGA, one of the camp instructors, has trained hundreds of Golf Professionals and juniors worldwide, including in the United States, China, Japan, and Europe.
Howard commented on the experience, saying, "This is a great opportunity to influence them and expose them to different experiences, especially by participating in South Florida PGA Junior Tour tournaments."
For many of these young golfers, the Prep Tour event was their first experience competing in a tournament. Among the international contingent, Mingzi (Louis) Wu stood out, shooting an impressive five-under-par (67) to win the Boys 9-10 Division.
"The course is beautiful," said Wu. "I'm very excited to be here and compete."
