Birdie Club

Birdie Club

The Birdie Club was developed as a player performance-based fund drive to get Junior Tour members involved in community outreach. Through an interactive and fun approach, this program helps juniors gain a further sense of pride and accomplishment beyond their performance during Junior Tour events.

In 2008, the SFPGA developed the Birdie Club to help raise money for the SFPGA Foundation, which financially supports our South Florida PGA Junior Championship, Challenge, and Prep Tour on an annual basis. With the continued growth of these tours our goal in 2017 is to raise $12,000 through the Birdie Club program, with the top fundraiser receiving a premium gift!

The South Florida PGA Foundation currently works with a variety of organizations around the South Florida area.  In 2016, the Foundation will start work on its fifth Habitat for Humanity house.  In April 2010, the South Florida PGA Foundation created Smiling Fore Life, a program encouraging SFPGA Professionals to visit local children’s hospitals weekly. These visits help bring golf into children’s lives who may be experiencing hardship, and allows children an opportunity to forget about their challenges and enjoy a fun and new activity. The Foundation also conducts PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere).  PGA Hope is a flagship military program for the South Florida PGA Foundation, designed through the PGA of America foundation, PGA Reach, to introduce golf to Veterans with disabilities in order to enhance their physical, mental, social and emotional well- being.

We are asking for your support in helping us raise funds in support of our foundation initiatives as well as today’s Junior Tour players and those of tomorrow. Start early and encourage friends, family and neighbors to make a pledge today. All Junior Tour member birdies count and pledges will be tracked and updated regularly throughout the year and will be available for viewing below.  The top earner of the 2017 Birdie Club will receive a premium gift as well as an exemption into the 2018 South Florida Junior PGA Championship!
