Abacoa Golf Club Host Seventh Prep Tour Event of 2017

Jupiter, Fla. – This Tuesday, the South Florida PGA Junior Prep Tour presented by The Honda Classic held the seventh Prep Tour Event of the 2017 season at Abacoa Golf Club. A field of 58 players aging from 9-18 competed on this rainy Tuesday. Battling through multiple rain delays, 12 players fought through and brought home a win after a shortened event.

Tristan Wieland of Jupiter took home the boys 9-10 age division with a 1-under 35. Pembroke Pines native Eric Nguyen took home the runner-up spot in the boys 9-10 age division with a 1-over par 37. Corbin Scott of Boca Raton captured the boys 11-12 age division with a 5-over par 41. Fort Lauderdale native Sam Davey took home the runner-up spot in the boys 11-12 age division with a 7-over par 43. Gregory Moore of Cape Coral took home the boys 13-18 age division with a 3-over par 39. West Palm Beach native Stephen Wen Barto took home the runner-up spot for the boys 13-18 age division with a 4-over par 40.  

Kayla Bryant of Boca Raton and Port St. Lucie native Polina Anisimov captured the girls 9-10 age division with a 3-over 39. Christina Lee Marcellus of Loxahatchee and Nicole Yugay of Boca Raton captured the girls 11-12 age division with 5-over par 41. Jupiter native Morgan Wade captured the girls 13-18 age division with a 2-over par 38. Gina Carvelli of Port St. Lucie took home the runner-up spot in the girls 13-18 age division with a 5-over par 41.
